Read before the 5th Annual Northern Columbia Triathlon
Good Morning to all – a day sunny and fine
It’s a special one of August oh nine
We’re gathered early morning at Queechy Lake
Special thanks to Dunkin Donuts for keeping us awake
This is the fifth year this event has occurred
Raising money in hopes for CF to be cured
For all who don’t know, I have this condition
But it never stops me, if I’m on a mission
All thanks to your donations and efforts your showing
Is what keeps me healthy and keeps me going
The stomachaches and medicines gets frustrating and all
But your care and support keeps me standing tall
Two extraordinary people are here at this place
Jimmy and Sue Hollister for creating this race
Words can’t describe how it feels to be
Loved so a triathlon would benefit me
You’ve trained so hard and prepared for this
When the alternative was donuts, television, and chips
For donating and training – the little things you do
Have changed my life all thanks to you.
